In partnership with Xecan, (Xecan) we have developed a registry for CT lung screening (CTLS).
There are three central goals for the RLS Registry:
- Provide an affordable, user-friendly mechanism for health care organizations offering CTLS services
- Enable participating providers and institutions to best assess the quality of care they provide by benchmarking their performance against peer facilities in real time
- Facilitate research that informs the development of future CTLS clinical guidelines and solutions
The Rescue Lung Society CT Lung Screening Registry provides a free to Society members, user friendly, patient level registry with state-of the-art analytics, reporting and research capabilities.
The Registry will offer unparalleled simplicity of use by:
- Offering registry membership at no cost to Rescue Lung Society members
- Creating the capability to accept automatic data uploads from participating institutions
- Accommodating all CTLS structured reporting systems
- Providing immediate access to each participating institution’s own data
- Enabling multi-institutional quality improvement and research collaborations
Our Registry implementation will potentially be most helpful to two types of organizations. First, programs with the least financial support, such as those in underserved communities where any additional cost can be a barrier to starting and running a CTLS program. The second, organizations already doing research studies or wanting to do research studies. The registry provides an easy way to record and analyze relevant data as well as providing an easy way to collaborate with other organizations.
